Key Challenges and Initiatives

In our efforts to maintain and improve employees’ health, a key challenge is the prevention of lifestyle diseases, such as cancer, cerebrovascular disease, and heart disease, which are the three main causes of death in Japan. We have thus set up the SG Specific Health Guidance program and are working with the health insurance society to encourage medical examinations and host educational programs. Further, to improve workplace environments so that employees can work with peace of mind, in line with the diversification of work values we have positioned the creation of a healthy work-life balance as a key challenge. We are therefore implementing a range of measures such as promoting remote work and setting up no-overtime days.
