SG HOLDINGS
SG Holdings selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, Highest Rating in the CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment for the first time
Sustainability
SG Holdings Co., Ltd. has been selected for the first time as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest rating, by CDP*1, an international non-profit organization, for our efforts to address climate change issues in the supply chain. The Company has also been selected for the A List in Climate Change, highest rating in CDP’s Climate Change announced in February this year.
The Supplier Engagement Assessment is an annual survey conducted by CDP that evaluates companies' climate change-related initiatives, focusing on aspects related to supplier engagement. The evaluation aims to improve efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within the supply chain.
We have set reduction targets*2 for Scope 1 and 2, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% by FY2030 compared to the emission of FY2013, and achieve carbon neutrality by FY2050. We are implementing various environmental measures, including the introduction of environmentally friendly vehicles, modal shifts in collaboration with other companies, and the adoption of renewable energy at logistics facilities. In addition, for Scope 3, we are working to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the entire supply chain by holding study sessions on environmental measures and providing information to raise environmental awareness among our partner companies involved in long-haul transportation.
SG Holdings Group will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through ESG initiatives, including climate change initiatives, in order to meet the expectations of all stakeholders involved in our business, including customers, employees, local communities, shareholders, and business partners.
