Sustainability Report 2009 |
|

SG Holdings Group engages in a wide variety of activities, continuously fulfilling our corporate social responsibility and striving to help realize a sustainable society.
The purpose of this report is to publicize the CSR activities of SG Holdings Group and thereby enhance the reliability and transparency of such activities. In 2000 we began issuing our Environmental Report, which focused on our environmental conservation activities. In 2003, we also began introducing general information of our safety and social activities under the new title "Sustainability Report." However, since the report focuses on our general CSR activities, this fiscal year we changed the title again to "CSR Report."
SG Holdings Group's basic principle is that our most important social responsibility is to make sincere efforts in our business of supporting industrial and social infrastructures. "CSR Report 2009" was produced based on this principle. Our lead-off feature story, titled "Logistics supports people's daily lives and work," focuses on our work experience program for junior high school students, which is promoted as part of the career education initiative by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
To enable our many stakeholders to easily read our "CSR Report 2009," we used simple and familiar expressions and incorporated color universal design(*1) features in its production.
As a group of companies that uses public roads in our core operations, SG Holdings Group will continue to help realize a sustainable society, placing top priority on safety and environmental issues and contributing to a harmonious relationship between society and nature.
