[SG Holdings] Holds Environment Picture Diary Contest
-For raising awareness of environmental conservation together with employees' families- (12/9/2009) |

| To contribute to environmental conservation, SG Holdings Co., Ltd. held Environment Picture Diary Contest 2009. |
|
The contest is for the children (junior high school students or under) of SG Holding Group company employees; the subject is environmental conservation activities that the children participated in with family members or local residents during the summer holidays. The aim of the contest is to provide Group employees with the opportunity to think about the global environment with their families, increasing their awareness of environmental conservation. The contest started as an Environment Poster Contest in 2003, but was changed to a picture diary contest in 2008, so that children can describe their first-hand experience of environmental conservation activities in their daily lives.
The 2009 contest received 1,784 applications, an increase of 200 entries from the previous year. Following a rigorous selection process, 11 winning entries were selected. |

| With the aim of motivating further environmental efforts at the entire Group level, the award presentation ceremony was held. Eiichi Kuriwada, Chairman and President of SG Holdings Co., Ltd., awarded a plaque to Grand Prix winner Chie Soeda as well as to Excellence Award winners Hinano Hosaka and Hinata Hamanami. |

| The Grand Prix work will be used as the design for original plastic clear folders, with the aim of helping facilitate environmental education activities in and outside the company. |

| SG Holdings Group will continue doing its utmost for environmental conservation. Specifically, the Group will further introduce natural gas trucks and actively promote modal shift in order to facilitate and strengthen environmentally conscious benign business operations. In addition to these tangible efforts, the company will strive to raise Group employee awareness of the global environment through such environmental activities as the company-wide simultaneous Light-down Campaign and the Clean-up Day program. |
