[Sagawa Express] The 4th SAGAWA Stakeholder Dialogue - The logistics industry's role in contributing to sustainable national development II -(3/3/2008) |
| On February 29 (Fri), Sagawa Express Co. Ltd. held the 4th SAGAWA Stakeholder Dialogue, entitled "the logistics industry's role in contributing to sustainable national development II," at the Prince Park Tower Tokyo (Minato Ward, Tokyo). |
| Sagawa Express organized its first Stakeholder Dialogue at "the Environmental/Social Activity Report 2004 Review Meeting" held in 2004. Since then, the Dialogue has been held as an annual event focusing on various topics, such as "Implementing a 'green' transportation system in the logistics market" (2005) and "The logistics industry's role in contributing to sustainable national development" (2006). Through the past three Dialogues, we collected valuable comments and opinions from stakeholders, based on which we have reviewed and upgraded our business targets and operational policies. |
| The 4th Stakeholder Dialogue continued our focus on the "logistics industry's role in contributing to sustainable national development." Discussions were held based on two topics, "partnership" and "environmental business management," to consider how to further expand our environmental activities in a larger framework and to lessen environmental load, which is one of our key business management goals. |
| Sagawa Express intends to carefully analyze and examine issues, needs and suggestions offered at the Stakeholder Dialogue, so as to carry out appropriate CSR activities in line with our business operations. |
