[Sagawa Financial]Greater Convenience with "e-Collect," Sagawa's Payment-on-Delivery Service

From Monday, May 7, 2007, Sagawa Financial Co., Ltd. will newly accept five credit card brands (American Express, Jaccs, DC Card, UFJ Card, and NICOS) for use of e-Collect, Sagawa Express's payment-on-delivery service.
By adding these five credit card brands to the 16 brands conventionally accepted for use of the e-Collect service, we will be able to accept a total of 21 credit card brands, including five international credit card brands (JCB, VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, and American Express), thereby providing our customers with greater convenience.
* In some regions DC Card, UFJ Card, and NICOS Card cannot be used for this service until mid-May.

[Newly Added Credit Card Brands We Can Accept]

E-Collect is Sagawa Express's payment-on-delivery service, started June 2000 on a nationwide scale. Through this service, customers can select a payment method, using cash, credit card or debit card, when a Sagawa Express sales driver delivers a package.
Regarding payment by credit card in particular, since 2001 our company has made efforts to enhance customer convenience and diversify payment methods by accepting revolving and installment payments, and, from 2006, lump-sum "bonus payment."
As our payment-on-delivery service, e-Collect has steadily met the needs of the expanding mail order market. Since commencement of the service, the settlement amount of the service dealt with has seen favorable annual growth of 20%. The settlement amount for fiscal 2006 is estimated at over 1 trillion yen, and with our acceptance of the newly added credit card brands we are expecting a further settlement amount increase in fiscal 2007. We will continue our efforts to develop new services that further enhance the convenience of our customers. |
