Scheme to Enhanced Safety

The entire company is making efforts towards increasing driver skills and safety awareness through the establishment of a safety management system and driver contests, etc.

The Forklift Operation Skills Contest

With the aim of establishing a safe and secure work environment through improvements in operating and inspections skills as well as strengthening compliance practices, the 4th Forklift Operation Skills Contest was held in October 2010 at the Nichiyu On-Site Training Center in Saitama Prefecture.
As a logistics service provider, Sagawa Global Logistics has a responsibility to make safety its top priority. In order to raise safety and environmental awareness among all our employees, we have held the Forklift Operation Skills Contest annually since 2007. In 2010, a large group of 25 carefully selected forklift operators from around the country obtained perfect 1,000 point scores for their the forklift operating skills they had cultivated daily as well as their safety awareness, in the categories of "knowledge-based competition" (400 points), "operation competition" (400 points), and "inspection competition" (200 points).
